I’ve dealt with anxiety in the past but it was under control and now I feel like my anxiety has gotten worse (thanks to student loans and loads of pressure from my parents and sister to get a job after college, even though there are others going through what I’m going through).

I talked to my mom about it because she’s dealt with anxiety. She literally told me, “You’re too young to have anxiety because you have nothing to worry about. When you get to be my age and have anxiety, that’s ok because you have lived through things.” My reaction?

Way to make me feel bad about myself even more. Even though anxiety is minimal compared to depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, I hate when people pass it off like it’s no big thing. Or they believe you’re worrying over something that’s pety.
